FOUNDED BY CATHIE BOLIN OVER 20 YEARS AGO, LINDEN RIDGE EYE CARE IS KNOWN FOR BRINGING HIGH END, LUXURY FRAMES AND BRANDS TO WINNIPEG.
Cathie made her start in the eye care industry early in life. Her first time working with frames was at Hudson Bay Optical when she was still in high school.
Her passion for eye care and wear comes from a personal place. At 11 months old she was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and spent countless hours in the ophthalmologists chair.
ABOUT CATHIE
After losing sight in one eye – Cathie’s perspective on vision health changed and she realized how often it’s taken for granted.
Her own experiences with vision troubles and loss made her even more fascinated by the industry.
When she started working for an independent Optician, she obtained her Opticians License, her Contact Lens License, and a Paraoptometric Certification.
After spending years working for both a large corporation and a small business, she knew it was time to open her own boutique in 2000.
Wanting to serve an area close to home in Whyte Ridge, Winnipeg, she opened the first optical store in the area with exclusive brand offerings and a dedication to high quality customer service.
Cathie has always enjoyed working with the luxury brands and keeping Linden Ridge stocked with the latest styles in frames.
